Terms of Service

By accessing or using PrepToDone ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and PrepToDone.

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

PrepToDone provides a document (the Decision Doc; the Early Decision answer for the Early Decision round) that reads a school list you supply against figures those schools published about themselves, and states which school to apply to in which application round. It is delivered at a private link and requires no account.

Counselors can also make these documents for the students they advise, in a counselor workspace on an annual plan. The workspace and its plans are covered by the Counselor Terms, which add to these terms.

• PrepToDone is not a licensed educational consultant.
• The Service does not provide official academic advising or counseling.
• Generated content is for informational purposes only.
• PrepToDone does not submit applications on behalf of users.
• The Service does not review essays, rate activities or awards, or provide access to a person who does.

The figures in the Decision Doc — and in the Early Decision answer, the same document for the Early Decision round — are estimates read off data the institutions and the U.S. government published: the filings each school publishes about itself, College Scorecard (U.S. Department of Education) and IPEDS reporting. The document’s named answer is our reading of those published figures. It is not a prediction of any admission decision and it does not guarantee admission.

• Estimates do not guarantee admission outcomes to any institution.
• Actual admission decisions depend on factors outside the scope of this Service.
• Historical data does not predict individual results.
• Where a school publishes no figure, the document says so rather than estimating one.

By using the Service, you agree to the following responsibilities:

• Provide accurate and truthful information in your profile.
• Do not misuse, exploit, or attempt to reverse-engineer the Service.
• Do not use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Keep your account credentials secure and confidential.
• You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service.

This section covers purchases by students and families. PrepToDone sells them one product, as a single purchase. There is no subscription and no recurring charge. The price is the same whatever the number of schools on the list the document is built from, and it is decided by our server — not by anything the browser sends.

• Every list: Launch price $9.99 through Nov 15, then $49.
• Prices are in USD. Prices shown include applicable taxes. The total you approve at checkout is the amount charged.
• Payment is processed by Paddle.com Market Limited, our Merchant of Record. Your contract of sale for the transaction is with Paddle, and your receipt comes from them.
• No account is created by a purchase. The document is delivered at a private link, and that link is the access: keep it, or have it sent to your purchase email again from the recovery page.
• The document can be re-issued when your list or your score changes, 3 revisions within 90 days of the original purchase.
• Access to a purchased document is not time-limited and does not need renewing. We do not set an expiry on it.
• Reading a free page — a school page, the blog, a sample document — requires no payment and no account.

Documents are only sold while an application round is open for sale. Between rounds nothing is on sale, and no charge can be made.

Fees may change with advance notice. A change never alters the price of a purchase already made.

Counselor plans are annual subscriptions that renew each year until cancelled. Their prices, renewal, cancellation and refunds are set out in the Counselor Terms.

The following products are no longer sold: Live Review, Admissions Consultant, Essay Review, Application Audit, Strategy Audit, PTD Plus, Cycle Pass, Application Review.

If you bought one of them, nothing changes for you: your purchase remains governed by the terms in effect on the day you bought it, and the access it granted is unaffected by its withdrawal from sale.

Subscriptions that are still active continue on their existing terms and renew as before until you cancel. You may cancel at any time; access continues to the end of the paid billing period and no further charge is made after the cancellation takes effect.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

• We collect profile data, usage data, and anonymized outcome feedback with your consent.
• Anonymized aggregate data may be used to improve prediction models.
• We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
• You may request deletion of your account and data at any time.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, PrepToDone shall not be liable for any admission outcomes, academic results, or decisions made by educational institutions.

• PrepToDone is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
• Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the user in the preceding 12 months.
• PrepToDone makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding admission outcomes.

PrepToDone reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notification. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects when the most recent changes were made.

The blog, the school pages, the university directory, the calculators and the sample documents are free to read. No account, no payment and no email address is required for any of them, and every article we have published is readable in full. What a purchase buys is the document built from your own list — never access to an article.

• Should we ever restrict an article, it is marked as restricted above the point where the preview stops.
• Content may be added, edited or removed at any time without prior notice.
